Samyojanam

It is a flagship program of VAP organised every second year. Initiated in 2018 at Varamasi, the scond was organised online in 2020, Third was at Bhopal in 2022, Fourth at Jaipur in 2024 and Fifth at Mysuru in 2025. It serves as a comprehensive platform for Ayurvedic education and professional development, characterized by a blend of practical demonstrations, intellectual challenges, and innovation. The event features Karmabhyasam, a segment dedicated to hands-on training in classical therapies such as Shirodhara, Agnikarma, Viddha Karma, and Jalaukacharan, alongside essential skills like Basic Life Support and understanding one's Prakriti. To foster modernization within the field, the Nootanam category invites participants to display working models that explore new technologies, diagnostic methodologies, and therapeutic modalities. This academic rigour is complemented by Gatividhi, a series of competitions that allows students to express their knowledge through debates on the integration of Ayurveda, extempore speaking, and creative mediums such as reel making and poster presentations on environmental themes.
Beyond academic pursuits, the event emphasizes holistic well-being by engaging participants in cultural arts, sports, and nutritional science. Under the Abhimanchanam banner, candidates showcase their artistic talents through singing, dancing, skits, and instrumental performances. Physical agility and teamwork are tested in Kreedanam, which offers a mix of standard sports like badminton and table tennis alongside traditional games such as Satoliya and Tug of War. Furthermore, the event highlights the critical role of diet through Poshanam, a culinary competition where individuals or small teams prepare dishes based on Ayurved Aahara to address metabolic disorders like obesity and diabetes, demonstrating the practical application of food as medicine.
